The Road Channel app is the first of its kind created to entertain you on your road trip. (It is not a tour guide-we believe you already know where you want to go). You will hear short stories about what happened right here, wherever right here happens to be. You will hear a welcome to each state you enter with a short story about that state. You will hear the history of many of the towns you are near. You will hear a short biography of many significant people when you reach a spot where that person lived. You will hear special news bulletins that would have been on the radio, just as if the radio had been invented at that time. You will hear those roadside historical markers when you get close to one of them. (You don’t have to stop any more to read them). You will hear surprise history stories. The Library of stories is huge – over 8,000 story points and more stories are added every day. And, you will receive an alert notice when you get to a location where one of our stories is available to listen to. And it does much more.You will hear about the geology and the agriculture and the animal life in the areas you are driving through. You will hear about the type of farming being done where you are. It’s like an almanac on steroids. And these interesting facts are also constantly being added to our library.
The fully functional Road Channel app is free for an initial test drive, but when the test drive is completed (about 150 miles or 5 stories), it will end, and you will have the choice to join the membership on a monthly basis, or an annual basis. For a limited time, you can join for $6.99 per month, or $28.95 per year.
For the aspiring story teller with road trip stories to share, you can even create your own stories right here, and The Road Channel will polish them, edit them, narrate them, add a suitable sound track, and publish them under your own name. (Provided they are suitable for entire family entertainment).
